No. 1 - Trust!

Just the other day, I met with a parent who said "Sam, I just can't trust anyone to come into my house and take care of my lil ones, maybe I am just picky." Having two kids of my own, 7 & 3, my husband and I have never hired a babysitter. Maybe we are picky too. We just couldn't trust anyone. We occasionally went out when our families visited from out of town but that was it. At first I thought it was just me, but after talking to moms out there, I am starting to see a commonality in our beliefs with other parents.

Back in the day, it was much simpler. We would knock on our neighbors door and ask our friends to come out and play. Our parents would say, come back in an hour and we would safely return home. Nowadays, things have changed. As a parent myself, I make sure that I know where my child is at all times. My children know to never speak to strangers or to even sit in one of our friend's car without our permission. Safety is a huge concern these days. Unfortunately, its a scary world out there.

Nonetheless, I am relieved to say that YES, there are people out there that you can trust. YES, there are babysitters who I can leave my children with and know that they will be safe when I get home. At Little Einstein's our vetting process is quite different than the rest. Besides all the CPR and First Aid training and clear background checks, I (a parent who for the past 10 years have not been able to leave my children with anyone) personally interview and choose only the most mature, experienced and amazing babysitters. My rule is simple, If they are not good for my children, they are not good for yours.

Sincerely yours,

Sam
